Technical Characteristics of our Solutions

  1. "Turnkey"
    All services are deliverable according this formula: the Customer can give to a single interlocutor the entire production and streaming diffusion process of his audio-visual contents.
  2. Multi-platform
    All services are deliverable in the three streaming technologies leader of the market: WindowsMedia, QuickTime and RealVideo.
  3. Modularity
    Omniabit can supply only the lacking parts (included the Internet distribution) of a streaming production in the case in which the Customer already has some phases of the same.
  4. Flexibility
    Thanks to the elevated know-how owned by the streaming technologies, Omniabit can adapt its services to every customer need.
  5. Proprietary infrastructure
    The proprietary infrastructure of the streaming server allows Onmiabit to have the control and direct management of all phases of the Internet distribution, avoiding the risks arising from technical intermediations. In that way, moreover, the Customer has the possibility to commit in "outsourcing" the Internet diffusion allowing to remain concentrated on the production of audio-visual contents without having to invest anything in the realization of expensive and complex infrastructures indispensable for the Internet transmission.
  6. High connectivity disposability
    The partnership with Fastweb allows the Customers of Omniabit to have of a high national connectivity, easily dimensionable.
  7. Monitoring
    The entire platform of streaming, with the relative net of connection to Internet, is covered by an advanced monitoring system that allows to the Monitoring Center of Omniabit to receive some parameters sent by every server and net alert and to manage in a proactive way eventual inefficiency.
  8. Safety
    The architecture for the streaming service delivery is implemented by the Internet Data Center of Omniabit and is then covered by the centralized system of firewall and load balancing of the Internet traffic. The implemented access rules allow only the use of the streaming service.
  9. Report
    The Customer can access through a common browser to a web page with reserved access, to consult the statistic service. The statistics allow to visualize diagrams and tables for the verification of the service quality and to monitor the success of the events.
  10. Assistance and Help Desk
    The Customers assistance service and Help Desk of Omniabit, that deals with the management of information requests and of the technical problems solution is active 7 days on 7, 365 days per year.
    The service is structured on two levels:
    1. "Front Office" Service for the first level diagnosis;
    2. "Back Office" Service, with specialized staff for the solution of data problems and Internet.

Proposed Solutions

The offer of streaming solutions with those characteristics is based on the use of:
  • permanent system of recording and streaming for events live;
  • systems for the production of streaming contents "on demand";
  • communication systems in streaming particular for the medic-sanitary ambit, for the educational, etc.;
  • systems for the re-transmission 24 hours per day of radio and tv channels.

So the vantages of the streaming solutions offered by Omniabit are:

  • easy in use thanks to the platforms integration;
  • events realization speed;
  • quality of the offered service;
  • flexibility of the proposed solutions;
  • scalability of the technological offers and, consequently, of the economic proposals;

Here the different streaming solutions proposed by Omniabit are presented in detail.

  • LIVE:
    Live is the service, that can be modulated and customized according the Customer needs, for who wants to transmit live audio-visual contents via internet. This solution, since can be modulated, is formed by step that follows each other:
    1. Shooting of the event with n cameras managed by a mobile direction;
    2. Compression and conversion of the signal in the speeds (for user modem of 28.8Kbps and till the optical fiber) and in the formats (QuickTime, WindowsMedia, RealVideo) desired by the Customer;
    3. Transmission of the compressed signal to the "server room", place of the streaming servers;
    4. Diffusion in real time of the signal, through the Customer site and the use of connections dedicated and proprietary servers.
  • RECORDED:
    1. Acquisition and digitalization of the audio-visual contents already registered (very probable in different formats);
    2. Compression and conversion of the signal in the speeds (for modem user of 28.8Kbps and until the optical fiber) and in the formats (QuickTime, WindowsMedia, RealVideo) desired by the Customer;
    3. Transmission of the compressed signal to the "server room", place of the streaming services;
    4. Diffusion in real time of the signal, through the Customer site and the use of dedicated connections and proprietary servers.

In both solutions the Customer can ask for the complete service, or only the step 2 and 3, if already he has the shooting service, or only the last service, the one of the diffusion through Internet of the audio-visual contents. In the last hypothesis the activities developed by the Customer and the ones developed by Omniabit differentiate according the actuated solution typology.

For the LIVE solution, in fact:

  1. the Customer deals with the live event shooting, with the streaming compression and with the compressed signal transfer from the event location to the servers infrastructure;
  2. the Customer rents from Omniabit, for one or more formats, the adequate connectivity to the desired audience;
  3. Omniabit manages the infrastructure of the servers for all the duration of the event dealing with the live Internet transmission through the Customer site;
  4. at the end of the live transmission, Omniabit will send, if requested, the audience report to the Customer, pertinent to the number of spectators that followed the event.

For the RECORDED solution, instead:

  1. the Customer predispose the audio-visual contributions already compressed for the streaming in the desired speeds and formats;
  2. the Customer purchases the hard disk space from Omniabit and the more suitable connectivity to make disposable 24 hours per day its audio-visual contributions to its customers, selecting between dedicated connectivity and shared connectivity;
  3. Omniabit manages the infrastructure of the servers for all the duration of the contract treating the recorded transmission on demand 24 hours per day;
  4. Monthly (but you can decrease or increase according to the Customer needs), Omniabit will send , if requested, the audience report pertinent to the number of users that have seen the contents on demand.
