The Streaming Technology

The streaming is a technology that allows the visualization of audiovisual contributions (in real time or recorded), transmitted through Internet and/or Intranet, without having to wait that the audio and video file would be totally downloaded on the computer by the end user.

The browser, through a continuous transmitting flow, allows to visualize and listen the already arrived and decoded data before the entire file has been transmitted.

This technology allows, therefore, to enormously reduce waiting times due to transfer of so big dimension information.

Another important element is the fact that the visualization of the contributions can be reserved to a limited group of users, through easy authentication procedures, that limit the use to who has user-id and password.
