The system is composed of a
software part, for the control and
command, and a
hardware device for the action.
Management Software
Even if the software is characterized by a complex design and highly technological
implementation, it was developed around the end-user for an easy, fast and
ergonomic experience.
The Menu was designed using the standard Tree representation, typical of most cell
phones, in essence it is comprised of a hierarchical structure, it is
possible to create a Control or Control Group in every directory (including the root).

A Control Group is a series of functionalities grouped by logic in the same directory:
a
group has the same function of a remote control and the
functions
contained in it are
the remote buttons.
Hardware Platform
The hardware system is composed of a main control unit that performs
the actual commands, it communicates with the Cell Phone through Bluetooth
and with the different controlled devices thanks to a Infrared IR transmitter and a X.10
switch.

The Bluetooth interface present inside the main control unit communicates with your
Cell Phone.
Upon the first communication attempt the cell phone will need to authenticate itself
with a PIN number, this simple protection system will grant control only to authorized
users.
From here on the user will have access to all the different control forms of the Phone,
the actual commands will be sent thanks to the IR transmitter and the X.10 switch.
