Create a Group



Group Creation :


Upon starting MultiScreen Security Center for the first time, after setting up some required settings in the Tools, Properties form, to begin using

the software it is necessary to insert a IP Camera device. As shown in figure 1, place the Mouse Pointer on the Root Node in the Tree Control, press

the right mouse button to access the controls context menu, here you will find the Tree Lock property, by selecting this property you will enable the

Device Insert Panel shown in figure 3, to add a group simply select the Add Group voice from the context menu, the software will create an empty

empty group using a default name (you can later modify the groups name by clicking with the right mouse button group tree label). To create a

group while inserting a device just follow the procedure described below.

Figure 3 shows the enabled Device Panel use this control to add a Camera to the the Tree shown in the different images, on this control it is

possible to select the camera Model, assign a Name, IP address in the form of (http://Ip_Address), if the camera requires a Username and

Password you can insert them in the apposite fields, select the Port assigned to the IP Camera, select the connection Mode ( Jpeg or M-Jpeg)

depending on the camera model, and finally select the desired frame rate. After inserting all the required data select the Group that will host this

device, if you desire to create a new group just select the New Group...  voice in the Drop Menu.


note: (The Camera property is only necessary for AXIS video servers)

Figure 5 shows a new group created automatically which contains the camera just added. Notice tha if the added device is Highlighted the camera

properties are displayed in the lower control, and it is possible to modify the camera parameters.
